Birding on Palm Beach Road
Palm Beach Road in Nerul, around 30kms from Mumbai, has been in the news for speedsters
but now it can boast of being a birders’ haven too!
Off Palm Beach Road, there are plenty of water bodies that host a variety of birds. So if you are a
birder and are free on any morning just head out to Nerul in Navi Mumbai and enjoy!
We took the path off Palm Beach Road near
and my brother-in-law Nandan, who is a
Painted storks and the moon
passionate birder, spotted and helped me capture quite a few! It is around 3kms from Nerul
Railway Station, from where you can take an autorickshaw if you go by train.

Go before the builders lay siege!

There are no shops around so carry your own water and snacks but please do not litter.
Best time to go would be either early in the morning or in the evening.
